A visit to artillery fort
no. IV called "York" or "Żółkiewski".
It belongs to a complex of forts built in Prussian period around Toruń.
Worth visiting are: defensive complex with surveillance domes, Great
Barracks, armoured posts and many interesting rooms for soldiers. A
possibility to participate in a bonfire with a grill organised in the fort
square. Visiting time 10.00 to 11.00, admission fee 2,00 PLN.
Event time: circa 2.5 h.

XIX century Prussian Fort
VII, outer parts to be visited.
Belonged to a complex of 15 forts around the city. In the beginning of the
World War II it was a detention camp for Polish citizens. Moats and a long
line of fort walls are preserved.
Visiting time: 1 h.

Fort VIII belonging to a
system of XIX century fortifications.
Numerous barrack and defensive objects are preserved. In the beginning of
the World War II it also was a detention camp for Polish citizens from
Toruń and the region.
Visiting time: 1 h.

Academic housing estate of
Nicolaus Copernicus University built in 500th anniversary of birth of the
astronomer. Building started in 1968. Rectory, university concert
hall, library, and buildings of departments of: chemistry, biology, law
and administration, mathematics and informatics, economy and management.
Whole complex visiting time: 2 h.
