Toruń is one of several cities where, due to exceptional historical value, preferences for local guides were introduced.

In accordance with the Touristic Services Act (Journal of Law No. 133, item 884) each organised group must hire a city guide.

A guide can be hired in PTTK (Polish Tourism Association) offices and in each of travel agencies in the city.
