Twin Cities of Toruń
Toruń takes care to strengthen its contacts with cities from Europe

Co-operation Agreements with six cities.
The European Council Flag for
Toruń
On 6 December 2001 Toruń joined the elite club of European cities,
including several Polish cities, which possess the European Council
Honorary Flag. Our city received this special award for its international
activity and contribution to promoting the idea of European integration.
Toruń on the World Heritage
List
On 4 December 1997, during XXI plenary session of World Heritage
Committee of UNESCO in Naples, the Old Town of Toruń was entered into
UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
